Cwm Chwefru Cottages are located in a secluded valley in the heart of Wales. It is the ideal place to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but close enough to many of the historic attractions of mid Wales.

Surrounded by lush green valleys and forest land, we are an ideal destination for walkers, climbers, cyclists, mountain bikers, or people that are just looking to relax in a beautiful tranquil location. With many beautiful walks, nearby mountain bike trails and great on-site facilities, you will be spoilt for things to do.

The cottages are nearby to an array of interesting locations. The Elan Valley and Claerwen Valleys, home to the spectacular dams and reservoirs of Rhayader are a sight to behold. There are many more places to visit including Devil’s Staircase, Brecon Beacons, Brecon theatre, Four falls waterfalls and The Gilfach nature reserve, all within easy distance from our location.

Birdwatchers will find themselves very happy, our location has wide range of interesting species including the mesmerising Red Kites, ravens and buzzards. You can also visit the Gigrin Farm Kite Centre, which is famous for the amazing daily feeding of the Kites.

Cwm Chwefru Cottages is a fantastic alternative to a hotel or B&B within Mid Wales, it's a chance to unwind and stay at a wonderfully scenic location with the flexibility of comprehensive facilities.

Outdoor Facilities

Come and join us for some fun in the great outdoors. With a tennis court, a fishing lake and a Pitch & Putt golf course to enjoy, there really is something for everyone. Let your mini explorers burn off some energy on our outdoor castle play area. Or if rest and relaxation is more your thing, why not take advantage of our picnic and BBQ area, or just simply relax by our wonderful lake.

Cwm Chwefru Cottages are nestled in the lush green surroundings of beautiful mid-Wales. With mountainous forest and wonderful countryside as far as the eye can see, you really can experience the feeling of ‘getting away from it all’. Our private fishing lake provides the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the area, while the more adventurous of you can enjoy access to walks directly from your cottage door.
